This photo has been floating around Facebook for sometime and I love it. So naturally it ended up on my blog post. The picture alone resonates seeing the joy in something even when life may seem well, not so joyful. Often times we, you, me need to Just get out of our own way. I understand sometimes we may know we are hindering ourselves in life but not sure how or why. With all the positive talk go on and thriving in popularity (thank goodness) we can still tend to blame ourselves however that just keeps people stuck. Getting out of your own way takes time, takes prayer, meditation, understanding, and most of all work! So, here is a challenge. For one day take some baby steps and every time you recognize a thought or behavior that does NOT give you the desired outcome of how you want to feel take a deep breath, real deep. Breath in and breath out slowly and realize there is a degree of control each person has in creating the atmosphere of joy for the day! Just this simple technique of focusing on breathing causes enough interruption to change the emotion.
